Default RE: 04 Cobra vs VW R32

Before I purchased the mustang I owned an R32 with a couple of bolt ons. With a fairly small amount of money they can be quick as hell, but generally aren't modded very highly. These cars aren't all about straightline performance. They stick great in the twisties straight from the factory and have interior quality that makes some "luxury" cars look bad. You really can't compare it to a mustang, as they were built with two different purposes. The mustang is pretty much a go fast in a straight line, look great, handle the turns ok, and do all this on a modest budget kinda car(aka, compromise on things such as the interior). The R32 was built to be a semi-luxury car which was supposed to live up to the handling characteristics of the early rabbits (very good handling cars), and easily have the room to haul 4 sorta normal sized ppl and a decent amount of their $h!t. It's a great sleeper car because many car ppl, import or domestic, don't know what they are. They have a lot of good points, but they are expensive as hell to work on, and generally break very easily (aka. 3 rear motor mounts in 6 months). They're also a lil bit on the pricey side. Except for the mechanical failures, I loved the car and would reccomend it to someone not as stuck on power and quick drag passes as I am. (Shoulda done more research)
