my dad just got a 96 taurus sho automatic i was wounderin who would win in a race me or him.i have a 94 gt manule with a few mods listed below in my sig. The sho is deffinitaly heavier but it has more horsepower. what do you guys think?

 

I'd give you the nod because of the auto tranny and the aditional weight of the SHO. But I've been wrong before on this stuff. Let us know how you make out.

 

You have the TQ advantage, weight advantage, and gearing advantage(both in the trans and the rearend.) All you have to do it drive it decently and it should be no contest, I would think.
How much HPdoesthe 3.4 V8 make? I would think 230-250ish, but whatever it is, it can be that much more than you car.

 

SHO is a Bada$$ 4 door car.

 

If he had an 89 SHO and you were stock, I'd call it a decent race, since I believe 89 was the fastest year as well as the first year of them. But, with your mods and him having a newer SHO, I'd say you shouldn't have much trouble with him.

 

ya the V8 sho's were slower than the V6's and the tranny killed them. You should win easily
