TUSCANI?
well last night I was heading home from the gym and I notice a tiburon pacing me. as we get on to the interstate we play a little and then I get him to slow to about 40.. So at this point I give the 3 honks and we both take off.. I easily pull a few lengths and slow back down thinking maybe he didnt get on it or something happen. I talk to him for a min. and the guy flat out says "I'm too slow", and that "its not worth my gas". So here I am just completely dumbfounded as this was all in just good fun. I am also stunned this guy admitted that his car wasn't worth my time, so I just drove on gave a thumbs up "nice car" and went on my way. (ps. what is a tuscani?? Just a souped up tiburon?)
i was curious too so here is a google response to tuscani.
Branding
In several markets the model is sold and branded as a Tuscani. The Tuscani wears a circular badge containing a smaller circle of black and grey horizontal bars which is overlayed with a letter 'T' painted gold on the left and silver on the right. Even in markets where the car is sold as a Hyundai Tiburon or Hyundai Coupe, the name Tuscani has become quite popular. Many cars have been modified aftermarket to be rebadged as with Tuscani emblems. In Canada, a special edition of the Tiburon is sold as a "Tuscani edition". A rumour has started to circulate that Hyundai is considering a plan to branch off the Tuscani name as a complete sub brand for more exclusive, sporty, and upmarket models. The existence of the name is most likely to achieve greater sales where the Hyundai name has cloying associations with more budget products.

One visit to the tibby forums and you wont be worried about a fast tibby. I went there one day reseaching a turbo kit for my brother in-law and after a post about a race with one I had people calling me out. When I posted up my 1320 times they all just backed down. It seems at the time my 12.4 1/4 was faster then every car on the forum.
I don't know if thats still the case but this was about a year ago.

I read in motortrend the next tibby might be a turbo'd V6. It'll be alot faster but it will be alot more expensive. 30 plus. I've always liked the looks of the tibby. Shame there such dogs in the performance dept.
