Your 5.0 will need a lot of work to catch a SRT8,
you will need to be FI or some major internal work, heades, cams ect.
the 5.0 is a good platform and will make some good power but like blue said " A Deep Wallet"

 

a tire iron.... just loosen some lug nuts and by 60 the tires should fall off= win for you

 

I'm still trying to figure what model SRT-8 your going to run that would help a little here too...

125 shot of nitrous will make it a little more even, you can buy used kits on the internet for a few hundred dollars
