so its not a race but since you guys know everything i figured yall could help me out before i go a race shop
ok here it is... i have a 1988 chevy 1500 4x4 automatic w 3.73 gearsand my 350ci thats in it is a rebuilt motor that has: flat top pistions, ceramic coated shorty headers... nothing very special cuz i didnt have the money at the time but now i do....
heres what i was thinking... i want to install a new turn key LS2 engine. turn key meaning it has the a/c compressor, alternator, waterpump, etc. i understand i will have to get a new wiring harness but im i wondering what yall think... how much work/ estimated cost would it be to have all this done. i can buy a LS2 for around $5,400.or i was thinking about a big block, like a 396???? good info please

Of course a carbed motor will be cheaper, but the drivability will be much better with the LS2 and unless you sink some money into the big block power and tq will be similar.
