Default Jaguar Type R Supercharged and Mach 1

I got behind a Jag today with dealer tags on it, but didn't think to much of it other than the fact that it was the supercharged 4.0 V8. The reason I didn't pay any attention to him was because most cars like that have no intrest in racing.....Wrong this time. We were both merging onto the beltline (440 in Raleigh). He was in front of me. I had my windows down and noticed he was pulling away from me awfully fast and I could also hear the whine from the F/I accompanied by the puff of dark smoke from the dual exhaust. Of course I said hell no, and went into pursuit.I was already at 55mph and dropped to 3rd and floored it. I couldn't catch him until he slowed due to traffic. So, I got beside him for another chance. Keep in mind these are 4-door Jags with 390hp (pretty sure it's 390). When I got at his back bumper he punched it again. I know he was a dealer from the tags and figured he was going to have some fun while he had the vehicle. Anyway,I wasat his bumper and he punched it as did I. This time I slowly pulled on him in 3rd (started at 65mph) and once I powershifted 4th gear, I jumped another half car. We shut it down at 100mph or so since traffic was around. Moral to this story-Never underestimate heavy 4 door sedans that cost over $50k, especially supercharged ones. I am sure he was stock and my mods are below.

Those Type R Jags are pretty sweet. Its nice to hear about one that got to flex some muscle.

Nice runs.

They should have put that boosted 4.0 in the Lincoln LS.

That Lincoln looks nice. You know all that it would need is a few mods to be way quicker!
I wish that I could get that Jag to the track for an honest race. Street racing is always off, one person punches it a second before the other, making it look like you beat them by a full car when in reality they are faster than you. I was already in my sweet spot when I got next to him and for all I know he was in his weakest rpm,but then again who knows. All I know is that I want one now![8D]
