Went to the track last night on a cold dry night. And i ran a surprising 13.6 at 100 mph with a 2.0 60 ft. All I have is a pypes muffler delete axleback.My car is a 2005 mustang Gt automatic. What idont understand is that everyone says that we cant out shift our autos if we used the auto for shifting instead of just keeping it in drive, but I ran a 13.6 doing that. With my mods and an auto mustang i cant picture anything better than a 13.6 so i never left it in drive, i would just shift.

 

Great time....and you have "lady luck" on your side.
I would not try to out shift the automatic.
All it would take isa small detraction and you've redlined in a cloud of smoke.

Don't push it.

I pulled my fastest times today a 13.14 @104.65 with a 1.9 60 ft
and my fastest speed 13.56 @106.87 with a 2.2 60 ft
others were a 13.37 @ 105.37 2.060 ft
13.35 @ 104.62 2.1 60 ft
All runs were on just motor

The lack of traction in first and second is our worst enemy.

Not to hijack your thread but I just wanted to brag about my times this weekend as well. I had a goal of 12's this year, doesn't look like I'm going to hit it but I did get a 13.05 @ 104. This winter I'll get 4.10's and an aluminum DS and do some lightening of the front and see how far in the 12'sI can get.
