I was coming back from work yesterday and noticed a SRT4. It looked nice, black on black.Well as I drove passed him we both glanced at each other, which I just thought it was nothing but. Well after 5 minutes down the road I hear him just floor it and damn was that thing moves. Well we both ended up going into a nice 3 lane road..... it was 11pm so no cars. We both caught a light were there was a mid 90s civic and a Integra both fully equipped with "full racing" exhaust. Damn I had no choice but to put myself behind the SRT4. So it was civic, Integra, SRT4 and I was behind them.Well after they all took off, I took of gently behind the SRT not wanting to lauch obviously. We both just left the other two and it was me and him, with him slowly pulling away, about 3-4 lenghts ahead til 80ish. I would have thought He would have killed me. Maybe it was the driver? I know it at least had and exhaust.

nothing really just full exhaust, CAI, and UDP. Although I admit he did spin the heck out of his car trying to take off

 

I was beat by an srt-4 also I kept up with him till about 50 from a stop and after that he just pulled like 3 cars on me. So your race sounds pretty close to mine. I had an exhaust only.

 

Well if it was the last of the Dodge Neon SRT 4 they have 230HP. Thelate modelSRT 4's which i think aren't Neon are close to 300 hp. I actually had a Neon hang with my 01GT 260HP Mustang, his Neon said turbo on the back. But I didn't mention that this guy snuck up on me from behind and I was in to low of a gear (3rd) If I would of threw it in second I would of smoked him. Same think happended with a damn PT cruiser. Now I am more prepared and keep an eye out.

 

A full exhaust really wakes up a 5.0, the stock set up is horrible I could see you keeping up with a stock srt-4 (or loosing slightly) with your modifications

 

I acually have an 88 Mustang GT now, so I probally couldn't beat these cars now. Danm this make me want to skip the whole list of mods I plan to do and go with a supercharger. I wanna enough HP to beat late model sock Vetts.

 

you are going to need more than just a super charger on a 5.0 to beat new corvettes

 

Good race. Sounds like a close to stock skittle you ran. 3 or 4 cars sounds about right with the weight disavantage you had.
