To start off there are tons of pics and a few vids of this little "event" but I didn't know the kids who were taking them so it may a few days for me to get them, but as soon as I do I will post them. This morning my car was blocking in my girls and she had to leave for work so she took my car so I had to take her car to school. For the people who don't know she drives a modded WRX that her brother built and she is paying for because he went to the marines. This thing has upgraded trans, upgraded drivetrain, bigger or upgraded turbo, intake, turbo back exhaust, boost controller, and a sick tune from some shop in central jersey, the car runs bumper to bumper with modded stis. I go to school and this kid, a senoir that drives a modded srt4 was parked on this one level with a whole bunch of "performance" cars around him. After I park he starts telling everyone that his father's business has this huge constrution site with a freshly paved road thats about 3 or 4 lanes wide and a mile long. He invites everybody to come to the site and have some kind of race day. He tells us to call anybody interested in going and racing either for fun or for money. I called my buddy with the cobra and told him and his brother who drives a notch with a 351w and tell them they have to come. I also invite my friend with the modded evo to come. Everybody followed to the site in a big convoy. It looked like something out of F&F because there was an honest to god 35-45 cars following this kid, but none of them were the poser kids with fart cans or ghetto body kits, most of them were pretty serious cars. We get there and I start looking around at the competition. There was a few stangs of all years and even a 67 fastback.1 vette, it was an 04 Z06 I believe, it could have been 03, not to sure, and 1 LS1 maro.There was two evos, my friend and some other kid, a few WRXs, mostly stockish ones, 1 bone stock sti, a few honda s2000s and the rest were all srt4s from the kids srt club. The first race of the day was me and the kid in the sti because he had some kind of attitude that his car was the fastest there. When I told him that the WRX I was driving could hang or beat his sti he stareted talking ****. He wanted to put down like 500 cash but I said just for fun and pride lets race. We line up and go and from the start I blow this kids doors off and about halfway down the track he starts to catch up but remains a solid 2-2.5 lenghts behind me and can't catch up. This kid was so pissed that he left. There was a bunch of cool races like the kid with the notch with the 351w against the evo, my friends evo against the ls1 maro, the kid who started it against the z06. All in all it was a sick day and I can't wait till I can get my hands on the pics. They said they have one of me and the sti at launch and it looks sick because the WRX is a good 15 feet ahead only about 20 feet down the track.

 

Nice. Was this in a secluded area? I wish I got a chance like that. Good races.

 

The kids dad said the work site would be closed for a few days so we could use the road if we wanted. If anybody gets hurt though he said he wasn't gunna take responsibility. It started tomist so alot of the RWD guys didn't want to risk it so we said we would pick it up tommorow. The only problem is tommorow is opening day for pheasant seasonso I'm just gunna wait until sunday. It was pretty cool seeing the srt4 vs. the z06. The main thing is I can't bring my car, its too slow, I need to bring my girls just to keep up.[&:]

I gotta find out who the kids were with the cameras, or wait until sunday and get them then.

 

yeah dude wheneveryou can get them is cool. dude if we had one of those there would only be maybe 10-15 cars lol. i wish i had that many car friends! my only friends either have crappy cars or dodge cummins[:'(]. the only friend of mine that has a FAST car is my friend w/ a 00 F150 with a built 5.4 boss engine, procharger runnin 8lbs and a two stage NX kit!....its CRAZYYYY fast.

 

I had only seen about half the people there at school, all the others were people the kid knew, or other people like my friend with the evo who just came out to run his car. They were all cool dudes except for the dick in the sti. It was people running and the others would weren't going yet were just bull****tin about their cars. It was pretty cool, wish we got more runs in though, I really wanted to see the 67 run, it sounded mean as hell.

 

I'm sorry, but I just couldn't stop thinking about the opening to the Fast and the Furious Tokyo Drift. That's awesome though, I wish somebody would do that around here, but there isn't enough high performance cars to do it.
