Default CHARGER R/T (425 horse)

Ran into a charger R/T today on the highway(started around 75 mphwent to about 135 mph)and we lined up to race. First second I thought it would be really close, then I left him like his tranny was broke. what a great feeling, this was my first time to race a decent car and it was a blowout. It wasn't really fair, cuz he don't know about my little blower under the hood.

Our little secret[sm=signs007.gif]

Guy was real nice, gave me the thumbs up after the race.

I believe the new chargers have 425 horse, and this one appeared to be new and had a spoiler on it. Either way it was a good time(fair or not).

The 425 horse is the SRT, not the R/T. The R/T is only 345 horse... and a lot heavier than our cars.

A kill for sure... but not an unexpected one.

I think the SRT-8's have 425 hp. The R/T's are in the mid 300's but are big pigs.

I believe the Daytonas are 350 horse stock. Its the new chargers that are 425, but I may have just thought that it was the new model and been racing the 350 horse model.

either way

The R/T's are slow as dirt IMO, but he may have been in their little 4 cylinder economy mode that they go into on the highway. I don't know anything about how it engages or disengages, but I knowit uses this on the highway.
