just curious...
Just curious to how my car would stand up to 99-04 GT's(manual or auto)with mild bolt ons (cai, exhaust, etc.), just so i know whereI'd stand w/ em, my mods are in my sig, thanks

Just playin dude. I have a friend with a 95 GT 3.73's cold air exhaust, UD pulleys, and throttle body. When i was completely stock i beat him by about 2-3 cars. We haven't raced since4 i added exhaust.[/blockquote]

I'd think it would be very close going by your sig. info. It would have a slight horsepower advantage but you have him by at least a 100 pounds.

Maybe I'm missing something? You have as much to the wheels as they have to the crank? I see no reason why you'd lose.... if you have a 4v cobra motor you should be much faster??
I would have to also agree that you would easily beat them. Not a prob. IMHO. Even mild bolt-on GTs shouldnt walk you.
BTW, does anyone know the difference in weight w/ the 96-98 GTs vs the New Edges???? srry to hijack but kinda related.

I'd say it'd be a driver's race. '96-'98 stock-ish Cobras run low 14's/high 13's which really isn't that much better than an Edge GT. I dyno'd at 257 rwhp/ 297 rwtq and ran a 13.686 at 101 mph with mods in sig. From a dig I'll pull my dad's '99 Cobra (just a K&N and cat-back) by a length, but he starts to walk by after I hit the top of 2nd/bottom of 3rd. If you just run up to 60 mph or so it'll be pretty even. Past that and the 4v's top end will take over and start to walk past/away.
