Default Getting reved at All The Time!

Just have to vent for a sec. It may just feel this way but everytime I'm out, someones reving at me, or peeling out. It seems to happen when their going in the wrong direction as me, or I'm sitting there pumping gas or getting in my car. Just this morning, a civic of some sort spun outwhile exiting the parking lot of the gas station I wasat. On theway to see a movie this evening, a mustang whilepassing me reved like hell to the point I could see black smoke coming out the back.Anyway, why do these driversdo this? Is it a macho thing, or is it a "come and get some" thing? Now, I never go out looking for races and rarely do I actually get one, but at some point, I'd love to get an opportunity to race one of these cars that feel the need to rev at me or peel out while I'm sitting there. Oh well, Ijust thought I'd vent for a bit because it's seems like I never get someone reving at me while sitting next to me at a light.

What do you guys think. Does this happen to you a lot and how does it make you feel? By the way, I'm 35yo so that's probably why I don't get many races or why people think they need to rev at me, not to mention my car looks bone stock.

only happend to me twice, to me its inviting a race. Most of the people that do that have limited mods and feel they have something to prove that is why they want to race everyone. Both times those cars saw my taillights, couriously enough they were both v8's though a modded tbss and a stockish 04 gto.

To be honest with you, the majority of people who do that around here where I live are immature Soldiers in the Army, or young guys, probably between 16-20 or so. Its probably a Macho thing for them, but I just usually laugh.

I never get that .... I even had the track numbers on the window for a few weeks and nothing... and it's not that I can't hear them revving over my exhaust. LOL

Don't worry about it Nvr2old32, it happens to me quite often. It's funny how many ppl rev at me when there's no shot at a race..........like in heavy traffic, or when they're passing going the other way. Hell, I even had a loud exhausted old IROC throw down a rev at me from the road the other nite while I sat in the Sonic parking lot in my 93 vert.

Probably doesn't help you either since the Evo is getting to be very well known in automotive circles.......and retards in their "I think I'm the s**t" mobiles recognize what they're looking at when they see you on the road. Just think of it as immaturity on 4 wheels. It's not easy to ignore, but you eventually learn to tune it out.

I treat it like an invitation to a race. If I'm by myself and not in a hurry I'll turn around and go get em!

I figured younger kids were the ones doing this. I just can't wait for one to do it while actually sitting nextme at a light. Maybe I'll get a good race out of it, or surprise the heck out of someone. Around here in Cincinnati, I think 90% of the action I see is other cars reving and the other 10% might be actual races (not with me though). Not many people race around this area, or at least that I know of. I'm sure there are a few spots around the city where people race, I just haven't found them.
