SRT4 run in
ran into a redSRT4 today coming back from work..... I WOT'ed it a little to show him I was game and let off to let him catch up, next thing I know he floors it and shows no sign on lining up so I nail it when he was at my rear bumper at around 45MPH.... we took it up to around 100MPH and you could probably fit a portapotty standing uprightbetween his rear bumper and my front... and he wasstill obviously gaining afterwe let off...all the while he was doing this he has his hand out of the window waving and giving a thumbs down like he just beat a viper or something lol
next thing I know the lights turn red ahead and I'm thinking to myself "oh goodie
" and he doesn't slow down... runs the michigan turn around lightAND the intersection light (it wasn't even pink... like I had enough time to slow down from 100MPH when they started turning yellow, they were red for a good 5 secods before he blew them)then turns into the daimler chrysler plant on van dyke flashing his hazards.... I just don't understand, if he was so cocky why did he have to run two redlights for fear of a dig race against a bone stock lincoln?
as he was in the lane that goes into the plant waiting forme coasting at like 5MPH,I rolled down my window and pointed at the next two lights that were just in the process of turning yellow and said "let's go man! what's your deal?"
he gave me the finger and said I got smoked... and blared off into the plant lot
oh well... win some, lose some I guess
anyone from this area of michigan should know exactly where I'm talking about

the way my windowcontrols are they are right next to each other... and during the night I do it all the time, my GF makes fun of me when I do it at drive throughs
I rolled down the rear window and was like "****" and then got it right the second time

exactly, those two lights in front of the plant... it's the first time I've noticed that plant has it's own entrance ramp off of van dyke lol
and yeah theres no doubt in my mind he was stock or stockish... I turned down my music from the previous light just to see... no BOV, stock exhaust tone... I only heard a slightsurge ofboostthrough themiddle RPM's of 1st gear as he went to pass the first line of traffic at the light
I think he would have had trouble from a dig by how he performed from the roll.....
I know this becauseI saw a roll/dig difference in my 04 GT from a bolt onSRT4 twosummers ago ( throaty exhaust nice "WHISH!" through the higher RPM's following by the signature 4 year old sneezing BOV)..... we went from a 40roll and he put about a car on me to 80-90MPH, picked up quick... then from a dig I put a car off the lineand he just stayed there... I diddn't pull but he never pulled back
it was like this to 120MPH
major wheelhop on his part... if I remember correctly bluebeast posted on that kill story saying it was the most accurate description of SRT4 wheelhop he's ever heard

what are your mods? last summer I was whoopin on GTs by like 3-4 cars on the freeway from a 40 roll to about 120ish...
*non stock SRT-4.
It's best to race one from a dig if you can but still..with enough power,after spinning the wheels for the first two gears if they have enough power it'll start to pull like a freight train lol.Lightly modded stockers aren't that quick..stage 2s are a little quicker,bolted on, with high octane mode or nitrous and they can be pretty brutal..stage 3s and 4s are a whole new ball game..

my mods during the race I was talking about with the mustang?
2004 GT shorty headers, O/R prochamber, magnapacks, CAI, 75MM TB/plenum, DR's, 4.10's and a full dyno tune through an automatic transmission
my dyno put down 240RWHP @ 280lbs tq on a dynojet... I was trying to see what i could do all motor at the time
also rememer we went from a 40 roll AND a dig... the 40 roll he got me at least by a car if wewould have wentto 100+MPH
the dig race is where I won up to 120MPH by a car
