Once again im gonna side with 2000si. All you people calling it ugly and a factory ricer that is YOUR opinion. Instead of saying "Its ugly" say "I think its ugly". Same with "Its a factory ricer." Say "I think its a factory ricer." Everyone has an opinion. Plus everyone is always bitching about how immature and ignorant srt4 owners are, and to some degree i agree, but i also see a lot of you guys doing the same thing. Give respect get respect.

This is what im talking about, you say "YES IT IS A FACTORY RICER" like your right and everyone who disagrees is wrong, but at least you said its your opinion. I personally like the stock look of it and i would gladly drive it, it takes very little to make those things move very fast. 220-230whp going through a quiafed tranny seems like a killer deal to me.

 

Not when you consider all the factors. First and foremost the SRT-4 only weighs 2,870 lbs. compared to the Cobra at 3,665 lbs. That's almost 1,000 lbs. difference right there. Also considering the SRT-4 is cramming 15 psi of intercooled boost into the engine. So given that information no it's not sad on the part of the Cobra at all, especially considering a stock 2003 Cobra can still wax a stock SRT-4 by a considerable margin. Simply put it takes more power to move a heavier car faster. I'm not bagging on the SRT-4 and if that's what you like fine, but don't compare apples to oranges. Consider all the factors before stating that a V8 engine is somehow inferior to a 4-cylinder based on track numbers.

Consider the fact that a 600cc sport bike is fully capable of annihilating a SRT-4. Does that mean it's "sad on the part of the SRT-4?" I mean the bike isn't even boosted. No, it's all about power-to-weight ratio.

a factory srt 4 is faster than my 5.0? since when do factory neons run in the 12s? since your the ricer expert i must be wrong. my 13.0 mustang MUST be slower than the factory srt.

A modded srt will not beat his 5.0. You have to do a lot of work to make it run in the 12's.

My god man. I cant believe you're still going on about this. Have you ever seen a modded SRT4 run on the track OR the highway? I honestly think you're a N00B speaking out of your *** because nothing you've said in this forum to this date makes absolutly no sense. Unless that fox is pushing 280+ hp then he has no chance against a Stage II SRT4 and no chance in hell against a Stage III.

You dont have to do a lot of work to them at all. Stage II on slicks ran 12.9 and I seen it with my own eyes. You really need to do some research before you talk because you're making yourself look dumber and dumber with every ignorant comment leaving that **** holster of yours.

 

You guys have never seen a lot of things that are really fast have you? I'll be the first to admit that I think the SRT-4 is ugly. And the old beaten down "It's still a neon." I wouldn't care to own one, fast or not. It's a Neon.

Thats not the point though. For very little $$$ they scream. It's sad I know. But at the moment, it probably is the best bang for the buck. Especially since Ford just makes the Mustang gayer and cost more...But it never gets any faster.
