Friend of mine from work owns a Dakota that is modded to hell and has a 4.7L V8 in it with a KB blower making I believe 9-10 PSI.

We did a 25,35, and two 45 MPH runs up to about 120-130ish. I had him by a few cars by about 80 then another 3+ cars from 100ish each time.

So, I am a happy camper because I thought he had a faster car than I did.

 

im pretty surprised at that...im not familiar with the 4.7 dakotas, but ive known a few guys with KB 5.9 dakotas, and they were well into the 12s...

 

He has the Factory tune from KB, he is saving up for a dyno tune though. He is going to split the tuning software with HPPerformance(mustang shop), so I will re-race him then.

Trust me, I was plenty supprised too. [&:]

 

I too am surprised by the results. A stock 4.7 could pull off high 14's in the correct configuration (sc, 2wd, manual). The kenne bell's turn those things into monsters. Nice kill......
