I would challenge a stock Cobra with a stock C5.

 

A stock Cobra can handle the LS1 in any form, C5, GTO, F-Body or anything else I forgot to mention.

 

...and thats the reason why they need to make a car like it in regular production.

I am very sure. The s/c'd cobras are awesome cars and I love them. But they weight as much as a boat, and mustangs have never been known for their handling. A C5 vette would put laps on them on a road corse. And depending on the course an LS1 camaro could beat one too, but that would depend on how long the straits are and such.

In a drag race, the cobra would beat both.

 

Yes I know the C5 has a handling advantage, buthow many times has your car handling abilities helped you get the kill?

The 03-04 Cobra is superior to the entireLS1 platform in the drag racing department. It was purpose built just for that. Mission accomplished.
