Why do ricers even try
i wish i had a dime for every lancer, civic, integra, or wrx that rolls up next to me rrevs it up so i can hear the rice burn into there blow off valve..... they always try to race but only during traffic why... i had a guy in a neon try to say race me he said he wanted to race at a 60mph roll come on now i have 4.10 gears.... then wheneveer i try to set up a race they always punk out... they talk more s*it then ne one but dont have the ***** to back it.... they ask me what u got in it i tell just a couple of boltons... then i start it get to the line crush em and all of a sudden im cheating.. how??? all i gotta say is RUN YOUR CAR NOT YOUR MOUTH
Yeah, they are usually teenage/young adults and are very cocky. Credit to those who have fast cars but this has a lot to do with power:weight. Try stepping on an empty soda can, that's what those little ricers do on impact, I suppose that's why they usually come from the factory with good handling. :-P I would NOT want to race someone with your setup. Judging by your sig, you drive around in a monster. +1 on the ignorant ricers.
i guess im pretty lucky in dallas, id say when you line up next to an import at a light youve got a 50/50 chance that its a respectably modded car or a peice of **** (last night i saw a 80s honda prelude with a HUGE wing, fart cannon, and GTR BADGE!!! w/ nos sticker of course. 100 percent stock...)
i wouldnt really go down on WRX's thats have excellent crash ratings and well sound nothing like a rice burner unless they have equal length headers of course. anyways ricers sure do talk a lot of crap, they usually cant even drive their car to its full potential.
i think that besides them talkin**** and being stupid the actual fact that they try is just like one of us wanting that chance to up agiast a viper, corvette, ect, deep downthey knowthey will lose they just put up a front, but i think thats the diffence bewteen ricers and muscle car owners i think we appeciate the beauty of an *** whoopin from a beautiful machine such as a corvette ect. all in all its for the fun of racing.
I really don't know why they shouldn't... your car is there, they are going the same way... why not have some fun even if they are going to lose?
same could be said for a supercharged mustang wanting to take on an LS3 C6... to test ones metal, but who's to say the LS3 isn't running fullbolt on'swith anice cam, ported heads anda 100 shot with 3.73's out the backand you get left by 5 cars?
that's racing, and they want to...... is that wrong?
