'65 HiPO vs. 82 Corvette
This literally happened about 30 minutes ago. The one advantage he had on me was that his car hugs the ground a lot better than mine because we raced on a hilly and curvy road.
It starts off like this. I was driving my best friend home when I see a guy in a corvette. I give him the thumbs up to say nice car but I think he thought I meant different. At the flashing yellow light we go for it. We are neck and neck until I get to third and my car hits a dip. My tires catch on the fender and I slow down and get a little bit of airtime. Needless to say he got ahead of me and took the win. It was all fun and games and if it had been on a smoother and straighter road theres no telling what might have happened.

ORIGINAL: Bigleman
82s were C3s
C4s started in 84
and even a C4 with an LS1 is still ugly

Non-Vette guys cant tell the 1980-1982 apart. If it was a 1980 L82 you may have had a fighton your hands.
As toC4's while they were never factory equiped with a LS1 the 1996 M6 (LT4 -330 bhp) is likely
under-rated and can give a1997 C5 LS1 a serious scare.
