uhh on the street anything could happen but times out of 10 you will lose this race.

The new CTS should not have a problem walking away from a 4.0 stang, despite it monstours torque.

 

the new base model CTS will walk the 4.0L... let alone the direct injection one

 

2003-2004 3.2L 220 bhp
2004-2007 3.6L 255 bhp
2005-2007 2.8L 210 bhp

Dont dismiss the 1st gen so lightly the 3.6L moves out pretty good.
The 2.8L is a pretty rare engine. Never seen a 2.8L myself.

I would be very suprised if the Gen2 3.6L 263 bhp with A6 is faster thanthe
Gen1 3.6L 255 bhp with A5. The Gen1 is a good bit lighter.

 

Yea, the cts is a 2008 and has the direct injection motor. The only reason i thought i might have a chance was with power to weight. And the 1/4 mile times are ??somewhat?? comparable.
