Yeah, I probably would have just sat there too, but I was bored and it was like 3am, no other cars on the road, so what the hell...
how many fast cars have gottin away from u?

I have had a few that I couldn't get turned around on. But, one in particular was when I was sitting in the same place I got the Prelude at. It was red and a Porsche, the last speed I saw on the screen was 141. I put the car back in park and relaxed.
So had you been that cop i passed doing 145, you wouldnt have even mad an attempt?!?! that is frigin sweet!

This is something that really pisses me off...people trying to get cops in trouble. You have no idea what he was doing. Now, granted some Officers do abuse their position, but they are far and few between. Some agencies that prohibit Officers from running lights only. In Texas "code 2" (lights only) has been removed. That means you either exceed the speed limit with no lights or siren (code 1) or lights and siren (code 3). SO, until you know what was going on and why he was driving the way he was, butt out.

A perfect example of the mentality you are putting across, I was on patrol and a call came across with a fight in progress with 10-12 people, 3 Officers were on the scene and yelling for help. I engaged my lights and siren and was well.......exceeding the speed limit. I was about 8 minutes away. As I went through intersections, code 3, the call came across saying the situation was now under control. I disengaged my light and siren and resumed normal travel in traffic. Some person called in on me, trying to get me into trouble. Kind of makes you wish, the person that called in was the same person getting their A$$ kicked, but then they would be pissed because the POLICE didn't get there soon enough. Just my .02.

yeah if they have thier lights on i wouldn't care just he was running without lights at 90+ which is what makes me mad just the cops around were i live i would love to get in trouble because they pull me over for no reason and i didn't wont to make you mad sorry

ie i got pulled over becaue my licene plate was durty (yeah it had a light tint of durt on it but readable), i've got pulled over because a cop thought that i had drugs in my truck, i've got pulled over because my licence plate light was out(which yeah i can see that one so bad example) cops around my home town pull people over for no reason

oh and their is a rule that they have to have thier lights on because they were causing to many wrecks driving without them on

the best one that i had was a cop got one of my friends for speeding. he says that he was pacing him but he was no where in sight(I was in the car) so instead of speeding he wrote him for "waste of energy". I swear that is what he wrote on the ticket. But the judge thru it out.

in Duluth, GA the cops have been known to clock in KILOMETERS per hour. they also a lamborgini diablo chase car they confiscated and claimed they caught the guy doing 220 in 45. my friend was hit head-on buy some cop who was high on coke and my freind got the ticket. the county where i live in most of the cops are cool but there are problems with the city cops being crooks. in snellville, GA there is one officer collins who deals drugs, and he is not a narc.

Around here we have a a couple of the unmarked cars for speed traps and such, and one day the driver of one got a call, and was speeding through an intersection with no lights on, and tboned another car and killed the driver of the other car. so now i belive that they make you have your lights and siren on if they are exceedingthe speedlimit

My English teacher in Highschool's wife was run over by a cop going 80 in a 25 zone. His lights were on, but it was not a cop car; it was his personal vehicle which had one blue light in the front grill (of a Dodge Ram), so it was essentially invisible.
Also, last summer I was harassed by a cop on Rt 1 in Connecticut; he was in an unmarked Dodge Ram SRT-10, tail gating me (I was in a Ford Probe GT... little car) so closely that had I braked whatsoever both me and my then-girlfriend would have been killed by his truck. Eventually he got tired of tailgating me and passed me (in a no passing zone). Knew it was a cop because I called up the state police to file a complaint and was told that the license plate was registerred to a police officer... they never did file the complaint. (I was going 5-10 over the speed limit when he was tailgating me, too, so it's not like I was poking along at 10 mph)
Finally, the first ticket I ever got was in my old Probe going 73 in a 65 zone on the Mass. 'Pike. I had never got pulled over before, and the cop still dropped on me a $126 (I think that was the number, not quite sure though) ticket, would not let me off with a warning since it was my first time. Several months later the brakes gave out on the Probe and I rear-ended someone, got another ticket for that.... and now if I get one more ticket I get my license taken away!
So I'm not having good luck with cops I guess.. kinda bad because I really don't ever speed; after getting the ticket going 73 on the interstate I max out at about 69-71 MPH interstate driving, and the most I'll go over speed limit is by 5 on any backroads now too; always getting people tail gating me / passing me and going like 20 mph faster. Just wish the cops would catch them and not me!!!!!
