I won 3rd place in my class at the first autocross of the season on Sunday. It's only the second one I've ever competed in and I was suprised I did so well. Even better was the fact that my car is stock and I was running in a street prepared class so thatI could compete directly with my friends. The class I was in usually has the most cars (around 10) and is very competitive. I got to give my friends a little crap (friendly, of course ) since the 3 of us all have Mustangs (a '95 GT and '01 GT) and always run in the same class but they have more experience than me. I ended up getting beat by a BMW 330 ci (or whatever the 330 coupe is) by 0.2 sec and a Camaro SS with a ton of mods and a former rally driver behind the wheel by a whole second. Lots of fun was had!
