I have a friend with an 04 Gto, i was wondering if i could beat him in a roll race from say...50 to 90. His is stock except for a flowmaster catback. Mine has cam, intake, headerson an 85306 with3.55's. He is an auto i believe and i'm 5 speed. Planning on racing him tommorrow. I'll post the results. But i just wonder what you guys think

He said probably auto. Sounds like it could be a really close race with the edge to him as speeds go up

Roll racing plays right into a GTO's hands. They are harder to launch than your mustang. Once they get rolling they'r fairly quick. Go from a dig!

So i raced my friends goat last night. Every tuesday night we all meet at Orielly's and cruise on the highway to my friend Cord's house and just hang out, play guitar hero or whatever.

Anyway, first i raced another friend's new edge mustang with just exhaust. I would have smoked him but when i tried to downshift to 4th it grinded like crazy so i said f-it.[:@] then me an my friend with the goat slowed down and let everyone get a good ways ahead. I tried to get him to slow down to like at least 40 but he wouldn't so we rolled from 50. It wasn't even really a race. My friend signaled him from the passenger seat and i dropped it to 4th (should have dropped to 3rd at 50, but i wasn't thinking) and i pulled on him and got my front bumper just a nose ahead of his, then i shifted to 5th and he shut down at like 90.He saidhe didn't know i had a standard so when i shifted he thought i shut down.Like i said, it wasn't even really a race. but it showed me that ican probably beat him from dig.

yeah, thats a kinda weirs race there. You shouldve been in at least 4th while "waiting for others to get distance". Not saying your story isnt true or anything, not at all. Just wierd happenings b/t both drivers. [&:]
