I been gettin the same story from a kid with an SRT4 with a couple of mods, and a ricer that had a supposed 500hp Civic and just wrecked his riced out Grand Am. The neon owner wants to race 45-120 for $500 or 45-160 for $1000. I find this amusing since Old Ugly can run upwards of 120 in the 1/4 and has a top end of near 170. Something about a 650-700hp 467ci engine in a 3000lb car that alows it to do that...

Ah they are kids in my unit. I cant bone their moms but that would be a perfect end to the story. I am the supervisor of the ricer kid, he once remarked my 455 HO GTO sounded like his grand Am with a 3.1v6, someone else who was standing there as I left for lunch told me about it, and is reported as saying, "No, that is a real car, yours sounds like a weed eater"
They also believe that a Neon with an aftermarket turbo and a boost controller will make 500whp. Nothin else, just those two items...
I will have to weld a camera mount to the cage so I can get a video out the rear window, it would be fun to see just how far back one of them Neons gets.

I can't people even replied to that post.... I wouldn't even waste my gas in the race. And a mile... damn near top out a car in a mile.
as far as the accord. I didn't read the entire thread.... but ah.... the new V6 Vtec Accords are NO joke! What does a stock 00-04 GT run? 14.2 range (average)? The new Accords are good for 14.4's. Not bad for a family car!
