I know I'll sound like a spoil sport, but in all these 'road races' I've never considered a 1/4, full car length or a couple of car lengths a win or a loss, especially if the other car is 6 to 20k more. To me being beaten means the other car pulls a quarter to a half mile on you with you having no chance in hell of catching up--in other words, a real material difference. I saw a video on streetfire.net where a 99 cobra with 330 HP went head to head with two exotic Porsche vehicles on the autobahn. When they dropped down into a long straightaway the Porsche vehicles pulled about an easy half mile on the Cobra before everyone had to slow down because of traffic. Now that was a kill!

Noone will beat you if they have to get 1/4 or 1/2 mile ahead to win!!!!!!!!!

i get what he means though. if you get absolutely pulled on (like 3+ car lengths in 500 feet), its a loss, but if you lose a 1/4mile byhalf a car length, its anyone's race. the only car ive been blown away by was a turbo'd M3. and he had me by a few lenghts after about 400 feet.
