Have you ever been to the race track or do you just keep posting about what you have read in a mag?

 

Have you ever tried launching a 600hp car on stock tires? The car will only back half better. No way will it 60' or 330 with a Z.

Well, my car is around 530HP? What's your point? Not to mention, I've launched my car on stock tires, well, to be more accurate, on Blizzaks, and it was fine. In case you did not know, Z06's and Zr1's are equipped with near DR quality, extreme high performance, and fat tires I might add. so, traction, should not be too much of a problem. Either way, they tested it 0-6 in 3.6 seconds. What kind of 60ft would that be good for, around 1.7? Way better then a Z in stock form if you ask me...

 

And what type of 60' do you get?3.6 isno better than a stock c5zor c6z51. HP does not make e.t. it makes mph and mph does not win races. So what you guys are saying is you think a ZR1 will go 9.90's or better off the showroom floor? And you thought I was smokin something.

 

im saying a stock c-6 doent run tens period... and far as you tube videos go for proof RIIIGHT, tell you what Rogers, run YOUR zo6, STOCK in the 10's and ill kiss ur ***, untill then you full of **** and you know it. nuff said

 

Also you said it wrong, the z06 was 3.6 and the zr1 should be 3.0 if you believe them.

 

and a z06 will probly pick up over 100 w/ a race tune on race gas... thats not stock, and slicks arnt stock either

 

You think a low comp V8 will pick up 100hp from a tune and race gas? Sorry buddy that's only imports that started out will a bad tune. If you pick up 100hp from a tune and gas, you must have had 5year old pump gas and a tune from 1987.

 

If that was theonly difference you might be correct. However even without factoring in the increased torque the Z06 apparently has
less aggressive torque management. The LS2 and LS3 both have pretty heavy torque management. The fast guys are cutting 1.7 or better 60's in the C6 Z06 on factory tires. It takes a real driver to get a 1.9 out of an LS3.

A better comparison is the C5 Z06 vs C6 Z06 and the 95 hp difference. I will let Bicketybam relate the C5 Z06 record (I forget) but Im pretty sure it was in the 11's.
