04 Mach Vs. 03 Lightning
I didn't have that many chances to really run the Mach with the new bolt ons before I had to reploy to the the butt-hole of the earth, AKA Iraq, but as I was driving cross country to bring the car back to Ft. Worth from VA Beach, going through northern Ga on I-20, this smug d**khead in a shiny black 03 lightning paces me with his chick in the car and starts giving me that "my car is faster than yours" look.. Keep in mind we're both doing 70 in a 55 here, and the guy keeps passing me and slowing down, passing and slowing down, and laughing like I was driving a friggin pinched-off turd looking Geo prism that fast. So I finally got irritated enough and slowed down to 60 for a good pull and dropped into 3rd for the roll launch, which I think got him by surprise because I was 3 1/2 lengths ahead before he dropped and he caught up to about my rear fender well and stayed there up to about 120 and I slowly started pulling on him. He was quick I'll give him that, but way too friggin smug and assumptive.. Guess he didn't hear my procharger... LOL..
I certainly wouldn't say I stomped him, but I embarassed him in front of his chick, cause he flipped me off when I shut down at about 130ish.. LOL Which is just as good if you ask me..

lol, i knew a guy like that in the army, thought his STOCK 5.7L f150 was hot ****.
i had a 4.0 exploder at the time, so i really couldent do **** about it.
but good kill bro, even if its a big *** truck, its still a lightning

I know he was modded, I just don't know what he had. His truck was louder than my Cat'd H-pipe and loudmouths.. LOL.. and I know he an after-market S/C too, because it had that wicked high-pitched whine that only comes out of a twin screw set up. Bottom end it would've been a race, but I started seein headlights once I dropped 5th so he wasn't THAT modded..
Plus I forgot to add that he didn't catch up to me until I was 1/2 way through 4th gear, so it took him a good 5-6 seconds to get to my bumper from 3 1/2 lengths back. lol

I'd have to agree with rd50stang here.. the 03 lightning bone stock had a 5.4L 4V? (I can't remember if it was the 03 or 04 lightning's that had the 4V variant.. anybody know?), and pretty much the same single screw eaton S/C that the cobra had, except in a slightly larger variant.. This was running a twin-screw set-up cause I know that damned whine when I hear it.. sounds like a knife on a chalkboard.. Oh, that's right, I'm over 30 so I guess the young'uns don't know what that sounds like.. LOL
