Last night was interesting at best.

I was dropping my 4 yr old son off at his moms, and yes she was running late, so my son and I where hanging out in my 92 convertible. After a 6 yr marrige there where many things that my ex stated that she did not like about me, one of them was my choice in cars. (There is something about the FOX that I can not help but love).

Finally the woman arrives riding shotgun to the "new" boyfriend in his mid 90 COBRA. I first started looking for signs that it was a clone but none jumped out at me. A three second kiss in front of me and my son later she walks up to get my son. I can not help but think the car and the kiss where for me to see. ( Thats just the type of chick she is.)

Now to the MEAT of the post....

I love my son to say that he wants to ride in daddy's race car, and if there was one guy I would want to race (of course to show that I still can swing the bigger stick) it would be the red mid 90's COBRA.

SO.. not knowing what the COBRA can put out as far as times, what does my 92 vert need to have H/I/C wise to pull out a nose or car length to the COBRA? or is it possible?

Right now I have: strong 5.0, UD pullies, 3.55 gears, short throw shifter, H-pipe, and possi unit.

Any thoughts would be appreciated, that is, unless your the Betty that drives the red COBRA.

 

Nitrous is your friend. Cheapest hp available. 125 shot and he will be starin at your tail lights. Though this is a stupid reason to race someone if you ask me. Just go on with your life and show no emotion towards her or him. Ignoring it will **** her off while you getting all butt-hurt about it will satisfy her. JMO.

In the end, you will have the last laugh.

 

I agree that this would be a silly reason to offer a chalenge to race, however, to have the peice of mind that my car could beat his would lift my smile as much as it would to be to actually race him.

Nitrous is still cheaper and its still a dumb reason. You may be able to beat his car, he still got your girl. not trying to be an a-hole, but its the facts that count. With that being said, 6 yrs is a long time and im sure you're feeling like chit right now. All I can say is stay up man! Dont keep bothering her and the sooner you get over it the better. You will find someone else. Everything happens for a reason. If all else fails.....

haha yea thats what you gotta do. but someone said it above just dont act like your bothered by it. she just wants attention, reminds me of highschool girls. the more you ignore it the more it will **** her off. but if the dude wants to race you then yea go with the nitrous for a cheap easy win

you should race him, that's what grudges are all about. ever heard the saying "let's settle it on the street?" my suggestion would be to get some fattttt tires, NITROUS, and some loud exhaust that's always a plus with kiddos. i scared the crap outta some kids when i just revved my motor in front of them lol, mean i kno but the little boy liked it not the little girl

 

your best bet ..be a man..let it pass.......you trying to beat this guy shows SHE still has control over you....she will find others to take his place.......and that is a fact.......
