I dont know what it is... lately i seem to be posting more stories on my losses than my wins haha. well i was simply out for a drive when a black car with a huge a## spoiler came right up on me, sure enough it was an Evo. he wasted no time to get up along side of me, gave me the nod, i gave him half a nod because there was a little traffic in front of me. i resumed driving normal, and once it cleared up i punched it, from about a 55 roll to 105 or so, obviously he kept right up, we finally got caught up at a light and i rolled down my window to talk to him for a second. he told me his car was completely stock, and that my car sounded good lol. i told him i wanted to see how fast those were from a stop. (trust me i knew i was gonna lose haha.) amazingly off the line i kept good traction and stayed with him up to about 25 or 30, then he started to slowly pull on me, but i was suprised i sorta kept up for a little bit, we went up to about 110 or 115, and he had about 2 1/2 or 3 cars on me... not too bad... he gave me the thumbs up and we proceeded on. just thought i would share on how i got owned again haha. quick cars... what do those run bone stock with a good driver?

 

bone stock they're good for low 13s. That's a respectable loss IMO, get those 3.73s soon man.

 

i hate evos. but they are fast. they are tuned for turning and windy roads.

 

Im not a big fan either, im a Subaru fan myself. would never own one, but my buddy had one with stange 4 turbo setup on it he made me install. So i got used to how their computer systems worked and how everything worked.

I dont wanna race one i have more mods and i know i wont even keep up with that you did. I can drive too... Just dont see how a low 13's.... i dont think i will be able to pace it with my 14.2's. lol. I could always spray him! Then he will bitch about me cheating. They all do it. Even with turbos and S/c's

 

Just to throw a bit of a wrench into themix, my friends 04 EVO ran consistant 12.8s last time we were out... with just an MBC!
Everything else was bone stock. . .

a stock car that can turn consistant 12s with the addition of a 140 dollar piece of plastic and circut board gives me wood.

 

yea ur right man, i need my gears real bad... 2.73's jus dont cut it anymore haha. i wasnt too upset though, because its one of those things that you already know the outcome before it happens haha.

 

hell dood they have a 0-60 in 5 flat on gravel roads and like a 4.8 on tarmac.

the EVO VI ran a friggin 13 in the gravel. god i hate those guys...not really, but, ya know.

Wow not trying to sound rude or anything but if you stayed within 3 cars of him then he didn't give it everything she's got or is an awful driver, with the mods on your car you would be way back, unless you have a PI Headswap, which you don't list so I assume you don't, you mentioned you raced from a dead stop to about a 115 that is way farther then a quarter unless your running low 12's at least. a 98 with your mods is not going and no gears i just don't see you even matching caspers time. I don't know a ton about Evo's but everyone has said they run low 13's stock and let's say you can some how you can manage a 14. A second in a quarter mile is like 5-6 cars at least if not more.
