A cam itself is around $250-$300, for an LT1, probably around the same for an LS1. A cam swap with the price of the cam and all materials added in is probably around a grand. I'm not too sure about heads. A lot of cam-only LS1's make around 400rwhp, there's been some get up to 450rwhp with stock heads still. A H/C LS1 should probably make around 500rwhp, I believe. Once again, not sure, I don't look into heads all that much, just cam stuff. The rear-ends are rather weak though and it's not hard to snap the stock 10 bolt once you're pushing some pretty good power. Stock power with some sticky tires and a high rpm launch could probably break one.

I'd even consider that a little on the high side. But, the prices I usually see are from private sellers on LS1tech or CZ28.com.

 

There was a badass 01 or 02 TA WS6 for sale awhile back from a private seller. It had like 40k miles on it and was putting down 450rwhp with bolt ons, a cam, and heads. It was like 14k or some sh*t.

 

What color was it. I think some guy from LS1tech/SeatStaysUp.com may have bought it. The one the guy got was a pewter colored WS6 with gunmetal ZR1's on it. And I believe it was putting about that much power out with H/C/I. It was also in TN, I think.

 

I'm about 100% sure it was the same one. This one was from TN and it was a pewter color with gunmetal or black rims.
