whats a 350 crate engine good for? 300 HP? and how much does a 88 TA weigh? is it more than a 2001 GT? im bored and i have seen this nice one cruising around and i asked around what it has and thats what i came out with. post some info if you have any. thanks.

well there are many many different possibilites of power in a crate motor.. but those things are heavy and are dogs imo, unless he has over 300 then i tink a 99 + should take him

Friend had one with the 350TPI in it, ran an Astounding 15.6?ish
I'm sure if they were to let breathe you'd see massive gains...
But stock, they are teh suck.

Third gens are actually pretty light, people think they are pigs because stock they were down on power. A stock theird gen should be around 3200 lbs without driver give take few lbs due to options.

And yes TPI is crap. Almost as bad as GMs "x-fire injection". heh.

Unfortunately we all don't drive 1800lb tin cans. 3200 isn't a bad weight for a V8 F-Body. Any clue what the new Mustang weighs???
