Default Fast 4's. (bluebeastsrt input welcome).

I noticed a few fast 4's at the track this weekend. Kind of wanted some input. Not that I plan to give up my 8.
Just for future reference the fast cars at this track shut-off at the 1/8 due to track prep during a test and tune.
Fast being 200 mph 1/4 mi cars.

1. White SRT Sleeper (No rear wing and deleted cross-hairs in grill).
12.55 @ 119 mph on real street tires.
Different Turbo, Injectors, intercooler, programming but pump gas.
bluebeast srt how much boost does something like this take?

2. Acura RSX-S Turboso stock looking its scary.
11.36 @ 128 on slicks
I think this has to be pushing some serious boost

3. Scion TC Coupe - Tube Chassis RWD with Toyota 4 cylinder and a HUGE Turbo with 5" Exhaust Pipe.
4.300 @ 171.95 (1/8).
Anyone want to take a stab at power? Im betting its under 2000 lb but I dont know the rules for Import Pro classes.

There were a couple of fast V8's there.
Tube Chassis New Edge Mustang with Bigblock and TwoProchargers directly driven offf the nose of the crank (gear?).
Tube Chassis C4 1996 Vette Bigblock and Two Big Turbos.
Unfortunately both made to much power for the track to hold.

I think the best bang for your buck 4 banger is still the 1985 dodge omni GLH

2200lbs + turbocharged 2.2L I4 + low factory setting= SRT4 from the 80's, only ALOT cheaper than an SRT4

that srt could have been stock turbo(without porting it). Im shooting for 12s on my stock turbo. You Can get the stocker to 300(ill be very soon after fuel return line), which is plenty of power to run a 12.5.
The srt was probably around 18-22 psi depending on other mods.

It's hard to tell how much boost the skittle was making. A big turbo can move more air at a lower boost setting. For instance. My Stage 3 turbo runs at 23 PSI droping off to 20 PSI at red line or about 44 pounds per minute of air. Thats good for about 350 to the wheels with a catback & HOM. I'm installing a 50 pound compressor wheel on the stage 3. That will move much more air at the same boost setting and should give me 450 to the wheels with a catback/HOM and no other mods. It'll move 50 pounds per minute at the same boost setting of 23 PSI. You cant get enough boost out of a stock turbo to trap 119. A big turbo with the correct fuel mods and the boost turned way up to say 28psi is easily capable of 500 wheel HP and high 10's on slicks. It would also take a huge turbo for the RSX to trap 128 on boost alone.

Whatever! I dont know much about 4's.

I found some info about the Scion TC....It was the 2006 NHRA Pro RWD (Import) Champion.
Best 1/4 mi was 6.41 @ 220 mph. Not to bad for a 4 cylinder. Titan Motorsports Car.
