Took my son to his guitar lesson last night and theres these young dudes hanging out in the parking lot in front of the store in a couple of Mustangs. When I get out.A few of the guys says nice car or sweet SRT-4 or whatever. I give them a nodand go about my business.Well after talking to themy sonsguitar teacher, I leave the store and one of the dudes shouts, Hey my buddy says your4 bangerain't sh*t and he would smoke you. Is that rightI reply and this one kid standing next to a S197 V6startsblabbing about cold air intakes and chips and no replacement for displacement.[sm=icon_blah.gif]I ask him how much $ he wants to race for and he gets a look on his face like he just pooped his pants. I smile at the kid and say I'm just F-king with ya' lets go. He wanted to go from a 40 MPH roll of course. I wont get into how many lenths I pulled. But I pulled back into the parking lot and the group of guys ask where there buddy was? I laughed and said I dont know but He probably still a half mile down the road. He finally pulls into the parking lot and says I missed second or I would have had you. lol. I said you must have missed 3rd, 4th, and 5th also. His boys try to talk us to going again (this time they wanted to ride with him)but he wasn't having any of that. It's funny just how delusional some guys are about their cars.

 

He was a kid, there was no need for that much of an asswhuppin'.

Completely IMO, but a V6 Mustang owner SHOULD NEVER EVER talk about "displacement" or "performance" or anything related to racing. Just keep driving and enjoy your $10 a month you save on gas+insurance lol.

Not taking shots at V6 owners on these forums, just tired of seeing kids in V6s talking ****(especially about imports lawl).

 

Yeah but come on though, bluebeast could have just pedaled his car to be side by side with the kid and make him feel special for a bit, and then nailed it until he got ahead by 4 cars (which would probably only be maybe a few seconds at WOT, if that) and shut 'er down.

 

When we got back to the parking lot one of the dudes saysI noticed the stage 3 badge and told him Not to f*ck with you but he really thought his lightly modded V6 would pull any 4 cylinder. The dude called it first quick car syndrome.
