Yeah my car needs a diablo tuner so bad. I wish I never sold my off a V6. Thats gona be my first mod although my tires are coming in(315 Nitto DRs) and im installing them next week.
Although your tuner will help, I think his will help even more honestly. And why do you wish you would have kept your v6?
I meant I wish I never sold the tuner of MY V6. I launched from a dead stop without power brakin it. He didnt hook at all. Spun alot because he did like 3-4k clutch drops thinkin he would outlaunch me but the torque in the GT is just right (for nowlol) . And no driver mod with an auto sorry
Oh ok, yeah the tuner would really firm up the shifts. Did you get a tuner with the gears you're getting? Yeah when my Wife had her Celica GTS with a 6spd, I used to launch between 5-6k rpms, LOL. Sometimes I would spin sometimes I would launch pretty good.

Oh snap, I missed that, lol. Meh, Si driver mod ftl!!!![8D]
Maybe, without the tune I bet the Si couldnt do any better than 14.4-14.5 with a good driver, but get that tuner and its a whole new story.
You seem to be preety knowledgable about that hondata tune, why dont u share with us how good it is and how much power does it nets SIs?

yep nice kill! 197hp 139tq.. non turbo'd 2.0L for the loss I wonder how much better they could possibly tune that engine unless they tune it for more torque? that nearly 200hp on a N/A 2.0L seems like it would be pushing it..

Oh.. and in my auto I've lost on a roll race that I should have won... not manually shifting my auto cuz I thought I'd woop him FTL. (well that and I stopped early... 80 in a 45 scares me i guess..)

W/ the Hondata, it's not as much about how much power it nets as it is allowing the user to adjust the point in which VTEC kicksin. Power numbers vary w/ each particular tune and supporting mods, but picking up 15-20whp on a fairly stock car is not uncommon.....

Just for reference, kinda like the underrated LS1s in the f bodies the k20a3 in the civic si is pulled directly from the rsx type s with 210 hp and 142 ft.lbs (even though the acura motor is called the k24). They didn't want to hurt the sales of the then flagship "performance" honda/acura. My cousin works in a tuning shop out in PA and he says that they had some day where all the local customers could bring thier cars in for dyno testing. The si put down almost the exact numbers of the type s, hp was in the +/- 2 range and the same for torque. I drive one everyday so this little tid bit made me smile a little but I understand how much of a joke the low end performance is, but a lot of people underestimate the top end of the k20.

You know the power to weight ratio of a civic si is less than the power to weight ratio of a 05-08 V6 mustang, right?

I was thinking the 2.2 60ft that the SI I raced was pretty good considering it's relatively low torque.
