[sm=insomnia.gif]I finally made it to the track today. I got stuck racing against 3 different vettes in my lowly Tq Monster. I ran a 16.07 @90.4 with a 2.88 60' against an '06 convertible vette, a 16.16 @ 90.91 with a 2.84 60' against a 96 vette, and a 15.53 @ 90.7 with a 2.49 60' against of all things a D@MN'07 z06. Needless to say my pride is hurt and my rear is nice and loose now.
Every time I tried to get lined up against something a little slower I got bumped ahead and stuck against a vette. I'm guessing todayin Bowling Green at Beech Bend there were at least 3 million in street legal vettes racing.[sm=headbang.gif]

 

damn I read this wrong. I thought 3 war veterans took their turn having their way with you.

ps- this is probably going to get beat to death but those short times are killing you.

Is it just me or are Goodyear Triple treads sh***y for hard launches?

 

even with a street tire I would think that you're capable of cutting 2.1 or 2.0 60's.

on the stock BFG's I just got rid of I was cutting 2.2x 60's all day long at the local 1/8th

Even the Vette drivers couldn't drive. And yeah, you need to ease up on the throttle wheny ou launch. Or does the track you race at just suck?
