Default raced trans am....

anyway, i just got home from a club and on my way home i pull up to a late model trans am, maybe even a ws-6 because it had the ws6 hood. i don't know what he had but i know it atleast had an exhaust, and i saw a bunch of guages. anyway, he revs next to me and i downshift to 2nd at about 40 mph, i wait to hear his engine roar and then i get on it. i'm assuming he was automatic because as soon as i punched it i jump like 2 cars in front and slowly inched away, i shut down at about 120 and he was about 3 cars behind.

he pulls up next to me and said to wait till his 3rd honk, we start at 1st gear around 20mph. same results.

then he said i got a little of a jump so i tell him i'll go whenever he goes, same results.

seemed like a cool guy i wonder what he had though....his plate read "LS1 Pro"

WS6's were factory rated at 320 BHP. Those Trans Ams were very underrated as their engines in totally stock formwere able to crackthe 300 mark on dyno. They alsotake very wellto mods. A catback and cam would push it's 1/4 mile times into the high 12's at the track. So this guy with a Catback should have been right there with you.

Did you race a TransAm like this WS6?

LOL @ a cam only being high 12s. I ran a 12.7 with a cat-back, maf, and a lid. All ls1 f-bodys dyno around 300rwhp. The highest I have heard about was 326rwhp stock. Bolt-ons and a cam you will be off into the 11s.

PS: Good Kill, sounds like you have a strong car.

Don't all the LS1 lovers need to go to there LS1/manlove website. I don't see any bowtie logos anywhere on this site.
