A properly riden R1 can trap mid 140's and a low 10 in the 1320. The front tire will go staight up in second gear also if they are doing 50 i think they said. I think the car has the advantage in a roll on race. From the dig is where the bike has it if he can ride.

I own an 04 R-1 and it is very controlable in 1st gear rollons, if you are an experienced rider. You will have a better chance if he does start in 2nd, but at 40 if he knows what he is doing he will be in first. 2nd gear does not come up at all if you dont want it too, you would have to cluch it or let off and snap the throatl. The front end just floats a little in 2nd. I have seen 04 R-1's as low as 9.9 in the 1/4 stock, and he has an exhaust so that makes allot of difference, is it a slip on of full exhaust. Good luck with the race and be safe and of course have fun.

Well I ran into some difficulties[:@]

I was on my way to the car show and the fuel pump died (i think). The car just turned off and I coasted it into the neighborhood. After I freaked out for a while and tried changing out the relays I realized that it must be the pump. So I have a pump coming on Friday and we are rescheduled for Saturday night.

The guy says he knows how to ride, and he has owned 4 different bikes. The pipe is just a slip on.

what mph doyou have when you go 10.50s? As far as him owning 4 different bikes who cares. I ve been in the motorcycle business for 6 years and just because some one has had 4bikes it does not mean a thing. I ve had customers wreck r6 after only having it for only a month then go and buy a r1, how stupid is that. And 80% of the people who have r1s wont take it 10.50 nothing at stock height. In other words you have a great chance of winning if you race from a start but a roll maybe close

Hey Proc2v, just because you crash doesn't mean you can't ride. If you say that than you must not know any real riders, or have never tested your limits and found out what they were. And as far as most guys not running 10.50's I can agree with you. I have beaten a lot of 1000's on my 750. slo93aod sorry about your car. I think I , might have been more excited than you about the race. There's nothing I find more exciting than running 140 with a car next to me. It doesn't happen often, but that's why it's all the more fun!!

Ive been 9.00's @151mph with a 1.49 60foot on a bike, Ive been 194 on a stockmotor busa with gps(not on the speed o) And I ride with some of the best riders in the country. Come to Maryland and we will show you what riden hard is! And read what I said, I did not say just because someone crash they can't ride I said if you crash on a r6 the first month that you have it and then go get a R1 the you are stupid. And about you beating 1000 with your 750, Ive done it with my old zx6r.
