Default Some advice...

Well, I found a Zinc Yellow 03' Mach with around 40k on the clock... with nothing really modified except the catback... There's a deal on the table.. straight trade for my Fusion... Only issue with it, is that it's causing me to be upsidown on the Fusion... by around 5k.

What do you guys think? I know im preachin to the choir in here.. lol but lookin for some real advice because im on the fence... payments would be relativley equal because of a higher int. rate, and it's out of warranty the mach of course.

Think it's worth it?

sorry to clutter the forum - but a wide range of opinion in here.. and i know most of the people in here..

For the number guys..

Mach 1 - 17k
Trade in value 17k
Payoff, 22,500 approx.

honestly, im an advocate of no debt esp on a car. if you can straight trade on a car i would go that route. + the mach's look better IHMO. but if the upsidedown doesnt bother you and you can pay the payments and you have your heart set on a termie, then go for it, but if your in debt thats less mod money.

Dont do it. You justgot rid ofa highly modded cobra for the fusion. Not only are you losing money on the fusion trade but you probably took a beating on the mods for the originalcobra that you used to own. You never get your mod money back out of a car.

Don't lie dude.

If they're telling you your Fuzion is only worth 17, and you dont want to pay that extra 5, then don't.

Thats really all there is to it.

If you think you can sell the Fuzion for more (which I'm sure is tough since you probably can't just sell it and wait to find anotehr Mach 1) then do it and then get a Mach.

That's the sticking point blue... The modding money - im not worried about honestly... because we all know going into it.. you never get it back...

I honestly, don't really like the Fusion... and I don't think i'd like any other car.. I liked the Fusion the most out of the cars I was looking at, and the major reason I got out from the Cobra was because of the upkeep more then anything... Alternators kept going bad (known issue), and tires being burned apart, it needed a new clutch because of the power levels, not to mention rear suspension (petrified of snapping a half shaft)... and the car felt like the motor was going on it... The guy that had it before me really beat the **** out of it. Not including the mods, I really did break somewhat even on it.

well they originally told me they'd give me the mach for 19k and take mine for 12,5... I got them up to even trade... so I did a bit of negotiating.. and got them closer... this is their best deal on it though.

EDIT:

ALso on my Cobra the best i found other then the trade in deal was 16-17k for the Terminator based on the milage and what not (which what was value for them on it - by a number of dealers).. based on that.. If I go upsidown on this - I still technically come out a winner...

So are yu saying you are paying 22k for the Mach (when they roll in the payoff of the Fusion)? If so, you are going to be upside down in that car for a long time as well.

Perosnally, I'd try to sell the Fusion on my own and try to get more than 17k. Can't fault the dealer - they have to resell it for a profit. But that mean you should be able to sell it privately for more.

As it stands now, I wouldn't do it.

They offered you 12,500 for a 2007 Fuzion?

Or did I read that wrong, either way, good job on getting up to 19K if they started in the 12's...

If you dont like the Fuzion, i guess that really only leaves on option. And we can all agree a man has to be happy driving a car...

well, not me,, ive driven a saturn since october..

Yeah they offered 12,5 for the fusion at the onset.. lol

Bickety.. the hard part about it is, I have to really trade it in, unless I plan on loading up on 2 payments until I can find a buyer for my fusion... Maybe i'll see what carmax says, lol...

I can't stand driving a car i don't like if im paying for it, lol
