I think they dyno 330ish stock so chances are he was just that.

 

I can tell you this much OP. If you're at 310rwhp and he only got you by a 3/4 of a car to a whole car, he is probably very close to stock, maybe a CAI and a cat-back. The cat-back for the GTOs include the X or H design unlike Mustangs where you have to integrate the X or H crossover with a midpipe. Anyway, an LS2 GTO is pushing around 340-350rwhp, so it's a good match between you and a stockish GTO. Good run.

 

yeah i heard they dynoed 345-360 so he should have been stock to only get you by 1 car

I'd say good race. However, he may not have been the best driver. 30-40 more WHP then you, and only a bit more "fat." You should hang with one up to a certain speed, but after that, the GTO will walk away.

 

if it didnt have scoops on the hood it could have been an 04 (LS1) with some bolt ons

 

All the ones i have seen at the Track were 13.5-14's Soo we must have alotta bad drivers down here.... there is the 1-2 that hit 12's or LOW 13's but AVERAGE is 13.5

 

You might have found the one good GTO driver on the face of the planet

 

they are extremely hard to launch. there are ls1's and ls2's too, so the et's vary a lot
