one of my friends just got his sti back from the shop with some new toys slaped on it. its a 07 sti with turbo back exhaust, 20g turbo and a FMI. he also has forged pistons cause when he got the new turbo they decided to blow on him haha. anway, he dyoed 400/400our other friend has a supercharged 03 gt makin 420rwhp and im not quite sure what kind of tq. the sti is talkin a lot of crap sayin he would walk away from the gt but i think it would be pretty close. im trying to convince the gt to run him but we will see what happines.the sti guy claims that he is a lot lighter and his gearing will help him win...what do u guys think

Do you know if the STI had any work done to the axles/tranny? A hard launch might sent parts a flying.

Hrrmmm.. Ifthe subie really is making 400/400, I think the stang even at 420RWHP is gonna get pwned.. They're tricky to launch, but those AWD subies when they're dialed in good, go like stink, especially from a dig.. I'd say his best chance is probably from a roll, up to a certain point anyway and then the subie'll walk him.. That depends on if your friend can dial it in from a dig or not though..

srry guys i forgot to say that if they do run it will be from a roll. the gt only has some fat bfg drag radials out back...no other suspension mods so we pretty much know the gt would get murdered from a dig. the transmission is stock as well as theaxels but like some one else said, the transmissions are pretty bullet proof.
