ohhh man everyone says evos are not good from a roll or higher speeds sucks cuz they are all wheels drive, the facts remains that they are also very ***!ing fast from a roll too. when i had my LS1 Goat with SLP tune, SLP Headers, Intake, i race an evo and with a flash + intake and after 3 honks the evo totally destroyed me puttings severals car lenghts in manners of seconds. Those cars are wicked [:@]

I can't believe an intake/tune put a hurting like that on your LS1 GTO, epecially from a roll. He must have been hiding something.
^^^ u think? That raped last me quite long. And to top it off he was with his girls and I pull even with him and nod him to race me. Boy was that a bad idea?

Nice runs man. The average driver in an EVO runs 13.2-13.3 in the 1/4 mile, so from a dig, he should have you, from a roll, you should have him. Good runs again man.

from a dig yeah, theyre quick, but not on a roll.
I never said that they were slow from a roll but I still think that the mustang would have an advantage stock for stock from a roll. And I do know how effective intakes and tunes and exhausts can be for turbocars.Cobb tuning offers a plug in tuner for the subarus that add 20-25 whp and 30 ft.lbs of tqby themselves, with an intake and a turbo back exhaust your looking at an honest to god 65-70 whp and 75 ft.lbs. of tq.

lmao! where did you see this? im on a military post where everyone and there brother drives a goddamn evo, and theyre usually lucky to get 13s stock. my friend in his 8 hasbeen upping his boost to try for 12s(at28psi now) and got a 13.2 at 99. like a 1.7 60.
from a dig yeah, theyre quick, but not on a roll.

I'd have to agree with 1BAD3V. Your guys at the military post can't drive for jack shi*. I highly suggest that they either learn, or kill themselves.
I guess it depends on personal experience with some people. People think Evo's are slow from a roll, slow from a dig, fast from a dig, fast from a roll, etc. Some seem to think they are just slow.
Now, I've probably raced more Evo's then quite a few people on here. The exception of one Evo had a custom GReddy Turbo, that was running around 25 PSI, which was a monster. The other 7-8 Evo's were stock and mixed between Evo VIII's and IX's. These were all when I was stock. Sure, I have an auto. However, each time I raced an Evo from a roll, if they had put any amount of length on me prior to me flooring it, I had no chance to Cough Cough, pull them in like someone said they did, and then pass them, and keep them at the "back door". Now, if we jumped at the same time, I'd stay dead even, and barely put a bumper on them. Now, from a dig, I've always out managed to beat them up to a certain point, do to the intitial turbo lag, and them not launching properly. I however, spin my tires, and build my RPM's up to about 3-4K, and launch. Just my .02 cents.
