Did the Cobalt feel as strong as your GT? Sorry for all the questions, I've just always been curious aboutthemand don't know a soul who actually owns one.
The 05 GT, hell no, LOL. Of course the 01 GT has the low end torque and would kill the Cobalt off the line, but once you get the rpms up and get higher in speed, I think it was almost as quick as my 01 GT. Once I shifted to 2nd I gave it alittle more gas and I was already going 60mph. So it was quick for a 4 banger.

I'm gonna say no, unless the Recaros say SS on them.

Oh yea, I was definetly refering to the 01, lol. I know alot of times those lighter cars feel alot faster than they really are, which is kind of cool because it's makes them more fun to drive.

LOL, yeah I was hoping it was the 01. Yeah it gets up and goes. The only reason why I got on the Cobalt and not the SRT-4 is because the Salesman where the Cobalt was got on it when he drove it and basically told me to see what it can do.

How many miles are on your '01 GT? Christ there are 99's with 70k miles around here selling for 7 grand. Sounds like you are going to get butt raped on it if you go through a dealer. Last year a dealer offered me 11 grand on a trade on a 2000 C5 Vette, mine was an 02' Gt with 37k miles.

It has 92k miles on it, well just short of. Like I said, the retail on it is almost 10k and the clean trade in value is like $8400. Maybe if it didnt have so many miles I would be getting more. I aint looking for an *** raping either, only person near my *** is my Wife, LOL.

Dealers will show you an amount they are willing to allow you on your car that looks enticing, but then all they're going to do is simply not knock off as much on the price of the car that is for sale. Basically, they can show you a lot for your trade, or they can cut the price of the car, but never both. It's all a numbers game, show me alot here, or show me less there, however you like to be screwed.

Yeah I know what you mean, the Salesman where the SRT-4 was said he could probably lower the SRT-4 a grand or maybe 2, but he said he would have to talk with his Boss. Check these 01 GT's out that are in my area:

Here

There are a few with anywhere from 40k miles up to 100k miles, and the cheapest one is $9500 and the most expensive one is $14,900. There are 2 with the same amount of mileage as mine that are $9500 and 10k, so I know I should get more, and I wont settle until I do.

That's what I hate about dealers, they'll sit there and tell you they can only sale your car for a small portion of what it's worth, but then you see what they are going for on autotrader, etc.

This may sound weird, but if you are looking to get KBB Trade in value, sale it to Carmax. I have sold them 2 cars and both times got exact trade in value for them. Wait, I forgot you owe on it, in that case, you can still see if they have what you're looking for and trade it. It's tough trying to get out of a car with negative equity, I'm in that boat too.[&o]
