Yeah those Elsie's are badass looking cars, and I hear they can dip into the mid 13's with a good driver. Not bad for a N/A 4-banger eh?

Lots Of Trouble, Usually Serious. Dude from Ireland said that's what they say about their reliability(or lack thereof apperantly).

I could see that. Heres whar Car and Driver said about the '07 Elise.

"OK, You Get That We Love It—Here Are the Problems We'll list the Elise's negative characteristics in the interest of journalistic fairness, but be aware that they don't affect our unbridled enthusiasm for the car one bit. Anyway, here goes: It has the build quality of an Afghani supercomputer; you sometimes get the feeling that a fender or door may fly off. The shifter for the six-speed manual is a touch vague, and some of us thought it sounded as if the lever might break off, due to the loud, metal-on-metal thwack that accompanies every shift. (Others love this about the shifter. Go figure.) The plastic grommets for the removable roof bars fall out constantly. The roof leaks. The power windows sound as if they were being raised with a diesel motor."

Lotus is British, isn't it? It must leak a lot as well.[8D]

The Lotus uses a toyota-sourced 1.8L I-4 in the Elise, Exige, etc. It makes anywhere from 180-240hp in various models.
