True it might be that way for the most part... until you run into that TT SC430 that monkey-stomps you into the highway.. lol I've seen a couple of those.. But by an large, I'd agree with you that most young people that drive lexus's try to think they're all fast and furious in a stocker lexus.. lol Still, the IS350's aren't THAT slow.. Or lexus wouldn't be asking 45k plus for them.. lol Even for a luxury car..

 

IS350's go for 45k? They run high 13's. I know the whole luxury sports car thing, never has amazing performance for dollar like vette's or stangs, but that's pretty rough. BMW's are good luxury sports cars and that's what you should look into if you want speed + comfort and goodies. BMW 335i $41k MSRP, runs low 13's, has a Twin Turbo 6, and aftermarket capabilities are insane. Now that's what I call a real luxury sports car [8D]. But then again, if you don't need luxury, $40k for a vette that's good for mid 12's ain't bad at all .

lol.. This is true.. The IS350's are MSRP'ing for about 36k-ish, but depending on where you go they're normally between 42-47k, depending on which options package you get, and what the dealer mark-up is. I have to admit though that if I had 40k to spend on an import, I'd be getting 99 R34GTR SPEC V.. That is IF, I could find one for that cheap.. LOL.. Gives you more of that speed with style type of look.. For straightline speed, in a stocker car at 40, I'm thinkin low mileage C5 Z06 maybe.. Not sure if you'd even find a C6 that cheap, let alone Z06 unless it's had the crap beaten out of it..

Not too shabby at all methinks.. but neither is 3100 lbs vs. 4000lbs+ either.. LOL The SPEC-V R-34's were a little heavier with their suspension, but they're also rated between 280-290-ish/270-280-ish to all four wheels, depending on the car and the conditions, vs 260-270-ish/250-260-ish for the rest of the GTR's... Spec-V R34 GTR's are rare cars though..Once all that torque gets the jeep movin it'd probably pull the R34 top end, but it'd have to beat it from a dig first..
