that ought to get you guys all railed up [8D]


so today i was first at a light, and i was on the phone, it was ringing (1st time on the phone driving in like 3 months, i HATE when people do that). so anyhow the light turns green and i take off a little faster than traffic, you know how we are (sports car owners). so then i notice the car next to me is..well next to me so i hit the gas, car down shifts and i beat an impala SS..

now, if my car was a stick, i dont think any of that would have happened..including me being on the stupid cell phone



btw, i was just joking about the auto > stick and ford > chevy...i'd love to drive and m6 f-body [8D]

 

Good kill...an Impala SS (5.3L) should have been a really close race...

 

it wasn't like ZOMG DESTROYED!!! it was more of his front bumper being at my rear fenders...but it was a short race, only to like 50-70

 

I love autos. They have their palce. But when it comes to a sports car, I have to have a stick,

 

+1, i wish i would have bought a 5 speed...but they were all just abused [:@]

 

When I first got my my car, my brother joked with me saying that if my car was an automatic he would have traded me his 98 Vortech'd Cobra for it.

 

x2. The only time I'll ever want an auto, is ifit's got a stall, though. And even then, I wouldn't want one until I had a 9 second car probably, and it's only used for the strip. Plus, I like my manual for daily driving because I have an excuse to hang up on people when they call me. lol. Good kill on the Impala SS, btw. They've got some ***** for a wrong wheel drive sedan.

 

I remember the guys at work...a friend I worked with had a 95 Z28 M6 with Borla, CAI and LT headers... talked all kinds of trash about my auto... we lined up an I went 14.1 @ 97mph to his 14.5 @ 101mph... haha... he was pissed.

I can still hear him muttering "It just didn't feel that quick...wow", granted he couldn't drive...but that's my point

 

I prefer stick for driving, more fun, and I like it with all the mountain driving I do. But in a pure drag car, auto all the way.
