Default 03 Lightning (updated)

Had one just chase me down today anddid a quick roll. He ended up following me to my house and we chatted for a while. He had a tune/CAI and something else I hadn't ever heard of. He caught my attention when I saw he had some fat Hoosier drag radials on. They could have been bias-ply but I don't know. I pulled him pretty decent but from a stop light those tires hooked and he took off. I didn't even try to launch with him.

He invited me to go watch him race an EVO tonight for money, told him I would think about it.

I thought about it, I'll go watch, smoke a nice cigar and laugh at the ricers maybe, no racing for me.

He also has a really nice looking GT500 with 630 rwhpto the wheels. He said his best was 11.1 @126 on DRs. Must be nice . . .

Good stuff, its fun to run into cool people on the street.... When my car has 630whp i hope to be into the 10's by then!!!!! But im sure that car is more than likely fast enough to be a 10second car with some practice.....

Cool! I love seeing lightnings on the street. Useless for a fast truck, but cool ashell if you ask me, especially modded .

I went and it was okay. There were only 5 of us that went out to do a few quick runs. The part I did not like was watching all the juveniles in the imports doing stupid things. Peeling out, almost crashing into each other, stalling, backfiring, it was ridiculous.

I just sat there and sipped on my soda for an hour or tow while we waited for the EVO to show up. The guy actualy had a WRX. He was talking all this crap about how fast he was. Wanted to race the lightning guy for $40 but only if he changed tires. We ended the stupid conversation and then a guy in an Integra came up and did the same thing. I guess I don't like the imature bantering and whining. It was annoying to say the least.

Now a real exciting time but atleast it was free and entertaining

You should have gave the lightning a run & the WRX a run. You probably had the fastest car there.

For sure Icould have taken the lightning and the WRX. There was an 04 Cobra there with a few bolt ons. I think he put down more power than me but he had severe traction issues. He's supposed to get some DRs today and then go play around with them just to see how they hooked.

I may go for a drive later just to hang out and actually smoke my cigar I've been chewing on for the last few hours.

Why do I work onmy day off? I need a break.

So they talked me into racing the other night. I just happened to have my DRs on[sm=drooldude.gif]. I took the guy with the Hoosier pretty easily. I spun in 1st pretty badbut hooked second and passed him when I hit 3rd. Hehas stock pulley, CAI and tune @ 8psi. I don't know what he traps but he siad he does consitant 12.40s which is what I did last time at the track with a slipping clutch and stock diff. I stopped @100ish and was 4-5 in front of him.

The other Lightning is @10 psi, CAI and tune. No DR's for him. If he had the DR's it would have been better. But he spun, I didn't.
