I wason my way home( had given up on finding anything worth racing)when I see a SUV go sideways as it pulls out behind me! I get to a light and realize that this SUV is a typhoon and its turbo sounds like it came out of a semi! We were beside eachother but behind cars soI started really slow to see what he's gonna do. Herevs hard and goes, soI take off and passed him in2nd and pulled away in 3rd! I slowed down to bout 40, he gets beside me, downshifts and we take off again, but this time I pulled alot harder! It was awesome!!! He said he had just got 500 miles on his built motor and was out tuning it. It was nice to actually race an awesome vehicle that I rarely see on the road!!

I dont think ive ever in my 18 years of life seen a typhoon out.

 

Those Typhoons are badass. I've always wanted one, or even a Syclone(truck version). My cousin used to have a Typhoon that he always took to car shows. I don't know if he ever drove it around that much. Nice kill btw.

Real good buddy of mine has a Syclone. Its pristine.4.3 turbo, AWD, mild work to engine and trans but the converter is what makes this truck so wicked.

You stall it up to about 3500 and the body is just twisted up and squatting down. It's in first for like ahalf a second while all four struggle for traction. Then she's off like a prom dress after a six pack.Very impressive ride. By far the coolest small pickup/suv ever made IMO.

What was it..... 90 you could only the the phoon and and 91 you could only get the clone right?

 

92-93 typhoon and 91 for the syclone. Under 3k syclones were made and I think under 5k typhoons if I'm not mistaken.
I was extremely surprised to see one on the road and then to race it was a wonderful surprise

 

I've seen a couple, but never out racing. Good find and kill.

 

I poseted a few weeks ago about seeing one for the first time. With about 2K in mods and a dyno tune the thing is an 11s ride. Good kill, but I bet it wouldn't have worked out too well for you if the thing was tuned and running 100%.[8D]

 

I really wish it was tuned so I woulda seen what it really can do on the street

 

I've seen a few Typhoons before, but only 1 Syclone.
