I havean'89 5.0LX (auto[&o])
We are both stock other than a CAI and Catback exhaust on my car.

and yes I can look up 0-60 times and 1/4 mile times... so let's not post that alright

Thanks, Addison

His car isn't exactly a speeding bullet. A stock auto 5.0 with a catback and CAI usually won't rip that great of a timeslip...my guess is that this would be close. The OP should do a 3.73 gearswap.

I used to play around with the early Mopar turbo cars when they were plentiful and cheap. They can be made very quick for almost nothing. A Turbo II car can get into the 13's with ease for under a grand.

If it's stock you should have him. If he's modded at all-you lose.

lmao at 99GTvert, yea I realize the AOD is slow.. 2.73's aint helpin it either, I'm lookin for 4.10's actually.

I'm almost sure he doesn't have any mods, but I really have to work on my launch.. does anyone have some good tips for NOT spinning the s*** outta the hole?

Thanks, Addison

My first car was an '87 Dodge Daytona Turbo......................Quick, but not 'Mustang' Quick....

As long as you don't sit there and smoke your tires on the launch......you should have no problem BURNING him....

Get it on video and post it

I had an 86 Chrysler Laser, which I think was the same car. Turbo.....had horrible turbo lag but when the turbo kicked in it was definitly impressive.
that said.....I'd still be stunned if a 5.0 stock didnt beat it.

A basically stock Fox, with the AOD and 2.73'shas traction problems? Course, I guess the LX's had those horribly ugly rims with outrageously skinny tires on them. The race should be interesting. I doubt you'll beat him by much. Your maybe a mid 15 second car, at best. If you mess up the launch at all, I'd probably give the win to him.
