Yesterday on the way home from work I pulled up to a 4 way intersection on the highway and waited for the car in front of me to take off. It was a 98+ Firebird and I didn't really care much I was just in a hurry to get home and eat (running late and the Fiancee had already made food)... As I come up behind him I put my signal on to pass (Cars were still coming butI was just letting him know my intentions [8D]), as the last car cleared the Firebird squats and I see a small amount of black kick out from his exhaust pipe. Too bad, I was passing him anyways.... I shift into 3rd at about 60mph and let it rip... I glanced over quick but I was ripping past too fast to see his expression...I can only imagine it was a mix of pain, confusion and disbelief (haha)...I let off shortly after the pass at around 120 and he was WAAAAAAAAAY back there. haha...

Not a race but still kind of funny I thought.

Haha, I know that was a rush. That was almost more of an adrenaline rush for me than racing (passing a car that is..)

On a negative note, it might be a good thing you had what you did under the hood, that coulda been a dangerous situation. Thats a pretty d!ckhead thing to do imo, speed up when someones passing you. [:@]

 

Very ******** thing to do... of course he took off before I passed him or even started tooso a normal person wouldn't have bothered passing and shouldn't have.

 

You should've slowed down and let him pass you. Then, turned on the lights in the windshield to scare the crap outta him. lol

I try not to abuse the lights at all... that would have bee funny as hell but not worth risking my LT./Asst. Medical Director status for.

 

Yeah, impersonating a police officer is a serious offense. And one that I definately wouldn't want to get caught for.

 

Nah it wouldn't be impersonating (We run blue/blue lights, PD runs Blue/Red).. it's the risk of someone calling the chief and asking why I was running them at all. haha... I don't worry about the cops giving me grief about it... I used them in front of a cop a few months ago when the car in front of him (he was responding full lights/siren to a 10-50 in another district) wouldn't pull over... I lit the guy up and starting pointing him to the side of the road(I was pulled over already going the other way), and as the officer went by he gave me a wave and nod.
