before the story, I just put in an auburn posi unit and a 3.73 gear.
I usually cruise an area around my house, mainly cruising, sometimes looking to race, or vice versa. Anyhow, tonight, I took a friend with me onto Telegraph. Within a 1/4 mile, there's a fox body, we mess around just a little and come up to a light. RIGHT BEFORE the light changes, I look in my mirror and saw a trans am, I think to myself (great, I hope he don't want to race and stomp me). We took off, I was winning, but what I noticed was the trans am went around 3 lanes to come around and race me... We come up to a light, both rolling around 30-35mph, knowing I'mma get stomped, I said screw it ,and nailed it. He had me by 1.5-2 car lengths after (60-70-80?? not quite sure), I was impressed that my car could hang how it did rather than getting TOTALLY BLEW OUT.

So I turn around to get home, and low and behold there's a new mustang gt vert. We race from the light, and we were basically even. Which is cool, I would have won if my friend wasn't in the car.

umm, no, read the top line, I JUST installed the auburn posi unit and gear.
My trans slips pretty bad too so it sucks, my first to second shift is horrible

 

I can vouch for the bitching about the tranny. He's been whining about it for some time now.

As for the trans am race, 30-60 and 2 car lengths is pretty merciless. lol

Ya, the trans shifts so hard, I can't even adjust the shift firmness on my chip, it's too hard as it is. If anyone doesn't believe me, I'll take you for a ride, when your **** hit your face when it shifts (if your fat), that's my told you so!!!

For a second there I thought your numbers looked kind of low then I just now noticed you were putting it through a slushbox. How big of a difference did you notice after the PI/headswap.

 

I've noticed a big difference from the mods i have now from when I was stock. I never did a base dyno, nor did I do a dyno when I only did the pi swap. I started off with a 15.3, and with my mods in my sig (minus the auburn posi unit and 3.73) took off a whole second. That 14.3 run was with my crap tranny, AND my camber was off so I didn't really have much traction. My second race of that day was a 17 sec run since I spun through first and part of second. I WOULD have let off to get a better time, but after I spun for a second, I knew my time was screwed.

I'm hoping for a 13.9-14.0 (more so the 13.9) next time at the track. Hopefully I get a better tranny soon.

 

wtf, are you serious?! i can't see much better times with that kind of power unless he 60ft's his *** off.
