I'll answer that. With a decent launch, yes. The 911 is going to run 11.7's all day long. A decently launched Z06 will run 11.5's or better, plus both my brother's and mine have about 35 rwhp over stock.

 

11.7 sounds dead on for the 911. I lucked out last summer and lined up with one at the track. He ran an 11.8 three times in a row. Made me look bad to say the least!

 

Hey I used to go up to that track. Track itself is alright but the dbags who run the TnT nights only spray water in the box and that's about it. Going this Thurs?

 

I just read the Motor Trend review of the 911 GT2. Holy ****. That car is freaking hot. 0-60 in 3.4 seconds. 1/4 mile in 11.4 at 127.9. They called it the best Porsche ever - even better than the Carrera GT. In fact, it out performed it in a bunch of the tests. And it's a steal at 198k!

They also do a comparison on the new M3 vs. the IS-F vs. the Mercedes Benz C63 AMG

M3 - 12.7 at 111.3

ISF - 12.7 at 113.4

C63 AMG - 12.5 at 113.5

The M3 was a manual - the other two were autos. They gave 1st place to the M3. It ruled on the track.

 

That is a steal at 198k. Hell, I'll hit up the credit union for the money tommorow morning![8D]

That new GT2 is a f#cking beast. That car pulled some phenomenal numbers. I'd still rather have a Carrera GT w/out question, but for 200K, you can't complain. It'd hand anything w/ a prancing horse or racing bull logo it's *** on a track......

 

The CGT would walk away from the GT2 in a hurry once they get moving.

 

Yeah, most def. CGT's have such insane topend. I remember reading an article about it once, and the test driver said, "At 186mph (300km/h) the Carrera GT was still accelerating like it'd been pushed off a cliff." lol. The GT2 will be ridiculous w/ a tune and upped boost, though....
